The ADTC and edaWorkshop24 joint event will take place in Dresden, Germany on April 9 and 10, 2024. This event, which promises to connect Researchers and developers with businesses, represents a great chance for the entire semiconductor industry and an example of an initiative that actively contributes to closing the skills gap in the sector.
The collaboration between edaWorkshop and ADTC supports the transfer of nanoelectronics technologies into applications with high economic and societal value. The event focus will be on deep technical discussions featuring keynotes from companies like Intel and Zuken, on topics like ‘fostering industry engagement in the Chips Act’, and technical sessions covering Chiplets, Green/Sustainable Electronics, Design Platforms, Edge-AI, RISC-V, and Verification of Trustability. The conference also addresses current activities related to the EU Chips Act and features a comprehensive poster session. With representatives from both industry and academia, the event encourages professional exchange and the creation of new initiatives.
Panel: Fostering Industry Engagement in the Chips Act
Patrick Cogez - Technical Director of the AENEAS association, will be moderating a panel entitled 'Fostering Industry Engagement in the Chips Act' gathering EC and industry representatives, to discuss challenges and opportunities brought by the Chips Act, including some insights on skills.
The success of the Chips Act in attracting private investment is crucial, considering that the majority of funds required will come from private companies, despite European and national financial mobilisation efforts. This panel involves a representative from the European Commission - Marco Ceccarelli, who was involved in the designing of the European Chips Act, and delegates from major companies and research organisations that will deliberate on the implementation and effectiveness of the act in drawing private investment.
