Scope
The global semiconductor landscape is undergoing a profound transformation. Europe is trying to increase its competitiveness and technological sovereignty, as well as enhance its economic security within an international context with geopolitical tensions which are pushing the restructuring of global supply chains. Among these supply chains, the highly complex and truly globally integrated semiconductors supply chain features prominently in the strategic planning of governments around the world.
To inform the strategic review of the European Chips Act in 2026, this workshop will convene industrial stakeholders and seek their views as regards to the Chips Act revision from the perspective of the supply chain. It is a targeted consultation action, within the overall context of the respective public consultation and call for evidence on the evaluation and review of the Chips Act . The workshop is co-organised between the European Commission and the Industrial Alliance Supply Chains Working Group.
Format
