New IT infrastructure and new IT workloads are pushing the boundaries of power requirements that are currently available in today's datacentres.
Geopolitical issues, coupled with a dated energy infrastructure and the need for governments to enact policies to reduce carbon emissions are putting pressure on manufacturers and operators alike.
We will address the semiconductor manufacturers from a performance/efficiency ratio standpoint, as well as system vendors and DCIS/CoLo players from a power draw perspective to see what can be done and should be implemented moving forward.
Why join the webinar?
Power consumption is through the roof when it comes to datacentre infrastructure.
New paradigms of power efficiency need to be implemented by all stakeholders involved, from lawmakers to semiconductor manufacturers and by datacentre operators.
We will look at what can be done to curb the rise in power consumption without compromising performance, innovation and the need for additional power capacity.
Objectives of the webinar:
- Give an overview of how power requirements are affecting the construction and operations of datacentres in Europe.
- Discuss how the server industry is going to address the challenges related to power demand and availability.
- Highlight what some of the biggest datacentre operators are doing to run these power hungry systems.
